Melnard

Hey everyone! I’m Melnard, a third year science student in the Honors Physiology program. Many people in the PLLC know me as the “lifting guy” because of my involvement in the sport of Powerlifting as a competitor, volunteer, coach, and as the Advisor for the University of Alberta Powerlifting Association.

For my stretch experience, I will be working with a team of researchers in the Challenging Environment Assessment Lab (CEAL) at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute to solve problems that people with a lack of mobility face during winter conditions. In addition to performing research outside the scope of my degree, I hope to use this experience as an opportunity to learn from the experience and leadership of others in the facility.
